What Achilles is and why your client uses it
Achilles is an international supplier registration and qualification network. Large buyers in sectors such as energy, industry, infrastructure or transport use it to keep the data and documents of the companies they work with, or want to work with, in one place.
For you it works like a company profile: you fill in information about your activity, your resources and your compliance, attach documents, and the buyer looks at that profile when deciding who to contract.
It is not the same as a CAE platform
A CAE platform such as Nalanda, CTAIMA or e-coordina exists to authorise access to a specific work centre: it looks at the company, at each worker and at the equipment entering that day.
Achilles comes earlier in the process: it is about being accepted as a valid supplier. With the same client you may well have to go through both, so it is worth keeping them apart in your head.
What documentation is usually requested
The detail depends on the sector and the buyer, but the profile is almost always built on the same blocks.
- Company information: incorporation, activity, geographical scope and capacity.
- Tax and labour documents: registration, being up to date with payments and workforce data.
- Insurance, especially public liability, with its cover limits.
- Occupational risk prevention: preventive organisation, risk assessment and accident data.
- Quality, environmental or safety certificates when the sector requires them.
- References from previous work and, depending on the level, additional questionnaires or audits.
What usually slows the registration down
The problems are rarely technical: long questionnaires left half finished, expired documents, insurance cover below what the client requires, or information that does not match the official registers.
Another classic is filling in the profile once and never touching it again. When the buyer looks at it a year later, half of the documents are no longer valid.
Keeping the profile alive is part of the job
A supplier profile is not a one-off formality: there are annual renewals, documents with expiry dates and updates every time something changes in the company.
Keeping it current is what stops you from being left out when an opportunity appears.
How EntraObra can help
We review what the client asks for, prepare and organise the documentation, complete the profile information with you and keep track of renewal dates.
EntraObra is not Achilles and does not act on its behalf: we are an independent document support service. The final acceptance always belongs to the buyer.
